Rehome Your Pet

We do not have our own facility to take in animals.  All we have is the generosity of foster homes.  Therefore, it is hard to try to save every animal we get a call about.

However, if you need to find a home for your animal, we may be able to help you.  We can list your animal on petfinder.com with our other pets and we can even have them at our adoption events (Depending on volunteers that are willing to transport.  You can always bring your pet so everyone can see it).

We do recommend that you take every avenue before re-homing your pet.  We do have a certified dog training that may be willing to work with you to help with behavior or training issues.  She lives in Franklin and her phone number is 304-358-2861 or 304-902-0428.  She can also be reached by email at s.lamaster82@gmail.com.  If you cannot afford proper vet care, please contact us by email and we may be able to help you find a way to keep your pet.

PLEASE DO NOT LIST YOUR PET "FREE TO A GOOD HOME" ON POSTERS OR IN THE NEWSPAPER.  MANY TIMES, THEY DO NOT GO TO GOOD HOMES AND THEY DESERVE BETTER.

Please do not reliquish your pet to a shelter unless it is a "no kill" shelter.  Municipal shelters can euthanize your pet as early as when you drop it off.  Let us have a chance to find a good home for your pet.

If you still need to get rid of your pet, please fill out the re-homing application and send at least two pictures of your pet to us by email.  The cuter the picture the better chance your pet has to get adopted.

If there are any application, we will contact you right away.  We will even process the application to ensure that it is a good home.

We will courtesy list your pet for free in order to help find him/her a new home.

Before you fill out the re-homing application, you need to have the following:

  • At least two pictures of your pet.  The cuter the pictures, the better chance they have of getting adopted.
  • Two ways for us to contact you for questions or about potential adopters.
  • Detailed information about your pet including age, gender, personality, good with children, ect.
